Description The Swansea Memory Walk takes place in the city’s historic Marina and guides you along the scenic seafront promenade towards the Mumbles.
Both walk routes start together at the National Waterfront Museum and take in some of Swansea's proud heritage as you wander around the flotilla of boats and quirky café’s in the Maritime Quarter.
Once all walkers have weaved through to the seafront, the short walk takes a circular route back to Museum Park while the long route continues along the Promenade giving walkers the opportunity to enjoy the views and atmosphere of beautiful Swansea Bay, returning as they reach Blackpill Lido.
Live music and entertainment, fundraising stalls and hot tasty refreshments will be on offer all day at Museum Park, ensuring it is a day to remember for the whole family.
How to get there: By Car?
From outside Swansea, exit the M4 at junction 42 and follow the brown signs for the National Waterfront Museum. From inside Swansea, the event area is located on Oystermouth Road next to the LC, Swansea’s Leisure Complex. For satellite navigation purposes use the post code SA1 3ST.
A pay and display car park is situated just a short walk away from the Museum, adjacent to LC2, Oystermouth Road, Swansea, SA1 3ST. Free of charge on Sundays.
There are designated disabled parking bays for blue badge holders on East Burrows Place, these spaces can be pre-booked by contacting (029) 2057 3600 prior to your visit.
Swansea’s main bus terminus (Quadrant) is approximately 5 minutes walk from Museum Park. Follow signs for Maritime Quarter and National Waterfront Museum. For the latest information and nearest stops visit www.firstgroup.com.
Swansea High Street Train station is approximately 10 mins by foot from Museum Park. From station turn left and continue down High Street to Castle Gardens. From Castle Gardens continue along Princess Way until reached destination.
